CMS Official Speaks at ASNC Event on Future of Nuclear Cardiology

Reena Duseja, MD, director of the CMS's Division of Quality Measurement in the Quality Measurement and Value-Based Incentives Group, addressed an audience of ASNC members and industry partners at the Society's annual Industry Forum in Baltimore, Md, last month.

Dr. Duseja recommended attendees access various tools designed to ease the transition to MACRA's Quality Payment Program (QPP), including—

MIPS Measures Guide for Cardiologists: A newly updated resource highlighting a nonexhaustive sample of measures for the QPP's Quality, Improvement Activities and Advancing Care Information performance categories that may apply to cardiologists.
MIPS Quick Start Guide: An outline of steps MIPS-eligible clinicians must complete between now and March 2018 to prepare for MIPS. The guide explains how to check your participation status, choose to participate as an individual or part of a group, decide how you will submit data and select measures and activities.
