ASNC President Raymond Russell, MD, FASNC meets with Mayor of Curitiba and others during his time in Brazil as the Paranaense Society of Cardiology conference was held in Curitiba, Brazil from July 28 to 29, 2017.

Dr. Raymond Russell, FASNC presented Dr. Joao Vitola (ASNC Past Chair, International Advisory Panel) from International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) with a Proclamation of Appreciation for his work to reduce cardiovascular disease in Curitiba, Brazil. Scroll down for more photos from a reception at Quanta in which they dedicated their new 128-slice CT/PET and their CZT camera and also announced, along with the mayor of Curitiba Rafael Greca, the initiative to improve the prevention of cardiovascular disease in the citizens of Curitiba, as Curitiba is planning to develop a public program for preventing heart disease.
