Anecdotal feedback on ASNC2017 pointed to success, and now results of the attendee survey echo the signals. It's official: Participants gave ASNC top marks for program and faculty quality as well as value, with over 80 percent of attendees saying they found the meeting extremely or very helpful.
Survey respondents praised many aspects of the curriculum, with the Core, Multimodality Imaging, Plenary and Advanced tracks topping the charts for “most important” meeting features.Attendees were also generous with recommendations for continuing to enhance the Scientific Sessions—advice that ASNC2018 Program Committee Chair Sharmila Dorbala, MD, MPH, FASNC, and Co-chair Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, MD, are taking to heart as they begin planning the 23nd Annual Scientific Session, to be held Sept. 6-9, 2018, in San Francisco. For example, ASNC2018 will continue, or perhaps even expand, popular program features such as Cases with Aces and Read with the Experts sessions while adding many new opportunities for hands-on learning and team-based, experiential learning where all members of the nuclear cardiology team share their expertise.
Framed around ASNC's 25th anniversary, the conference will be a celebration of nuclear cardiology's impact on patient care and an exploration of where the field is going, explains Dr. Dorbala. “We're building a program that will allow all of the members of our community to explore state-of-the-art and emerging clinical and research innovations through the lens of their own, personalized needs and interests,” she says. “I encourage everyone to mark their calendars for ASNC2018 because it is going to be educationally and professionally rewarding. And it's also going to be fun!”
