NC Today 2018 Registration Now Open
Following last year's record-breaking attendance and rave reviews, ASNC's signature Nuclear Cardiology Today: Best Practices for Today, Innovations for Tomorrow will return to Chicago April 20-22, 2018. Year after year, attendees praise the 2½-day program for its focus on delivering practical information to run a quality practice and its interactive approach to learning, say Program Co-directors David A. Wolinsky, MD, MASNC, and Dennis A. Calnon, MD, MASNC.
“Attendees appreciate that they can bring their questions and problems—the things that are keeping them up at night—to NC Today and take home solutions that have worked for our renowned faculty as well as for attendees from labs a lot like theirs,” Dr. Wolinsky says. “We learn together how to take our labs to the next level.” Based on attendee feedback, one theme of the 2018 program will be “how to be more than just a picture-taker,” Dr. Wolinsky adds. “It's more important than ever that nuclear cardiologists have the knowledge and skills to help the team recommend the best test for each patient, to perform it well, and then to work with the team—including the patient—to use the results to inform treatment plans.”
Dr. Calnon encourages attendees to make a list of their questions and either send them to ASNC before the program or bring them to Chicago. NC Today is totally tailored to attendee needs, he says. “It's relatively short presentations with plenty of time for discussion and interaction.”
Here are just a few of the questions Nuclear Cardiology Today will cover in 2018:
- How can my team adapt to optimize reimbursement considering the latest MACRA updates, especially CMS's decision to begin evaluating MIPS-participating physicians based on cost in 2018?
- How can we optimize our imaging protocols?
- What's the best way to evaluate ER patients cost-effectively?
- How can we minimize the prior approval burden?
- How can software and hardware be used to reduce radiation exposure?
- What are the best applications for cardiac PET?
- How are others approaching patients who have a calcium score of zero and recurrent chest pain?
- What is the next step for patients with equivocal SPECT MPI?
- What should you do if your patient is scheduled for a vasodilator stress test but drank a cup of coffee 6 hour ago?
