ASNC2018 to Feature Plenary on New Opportunities in Molecular CV Medicine

NEW! The ASNC2018 Program Committee has just announced the details of a special plenary session to be held Saturday, Sept. 9, during the Annual Scientific Session. “Towards Molecular Cardiovascular Medicine—Emerging Clinical Opportunities for Noninvasive Imaging” will be moderated by Albert J. Sinusas, MD, and Frank Bengel, MD, and will feature the following presentations:
  • “The (Molecular and Cellular) Future of Cardiovascular Medicine from a Translational Scientist's Perspective”— Joseph C. Wu, MD, PhD (Stanford Medicine)
  • “Explorer Project: The Role of Whole-Body PET Imaging of the Cardiovascular System”— Simon R. Cherry, PhD (University of California-Davis)
  • “Cardiovascular Molecular Imaging in Drug Development”— Robert J. Gropler, MD, MASNC (Washington University, St. Louis)
  • “What Will the Future Hold for Nuclear Cardiology?” — ASNC President-Elect Rob S.B. Beanlands, MD, FASNC (University of Ottawa Heart Institute)
 
“This fascinating session will provide a glimpse into the future of nuclear cardiology,” says ASNC2018 Program Chair Sharmila Dorbala, MD, MPH, FASNC. “I expect attendees will factor the discussion from this plenary into their practice for many years to come.”
 
ASNC will continue to share news about the 2018 Scientific Sessions as sessions, speakers and activities are confirmed. ASNC2018 will be home to the Society's 25th anniversary celebration, including many new, interactive and personalized opportunities for you to earn CME and MOC credit.
