ASNC2018 will open at noon on Thursday (yes, Thursday!), Sept. 6, and will offer a full line-up of educational and networking opportunities. Here are just five—among many—reasons to join us at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on Thursday.
- Noon – Tait Shanafelt, MD, chief wellness officer and director of the Stanford WellMD Center, will deliver a special keynote, Finding Meaning, Balance and Professional Fulfillment in the Practice of Medicine. Dr. Shanafelt is an international thought-leader and researcher on physician well-being and its implications for quality care. His research on physician burnout has been featured in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Internal Medicine and JAMA, and has been covered by many media outlets, including CNN, USA Today and The New York Times. - 1:15 p.m. – Choose from two sessions: "What Is New in CAC Scoring in 2018?" a special joint session with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography; or "How to Optimize Your PET Lab" from ASNC's new Team-based Learning educational track.
- 3:15 p.m. – Tackle challenging cases along with expert presenters at “Ischemic Heart Disease: Complex Cases” or join the discussion at “Incorporating Myocardial Blood Flow Quantification with PET/CT into Practice.”
