Aetna Covers Blood Flow in PET
On July 6, 2018, Aetna released its recently reviewed policy for positron emission tomography (PET).
The new policy specifies that the new category III code 0482T, Absolute Quantitation of Myocardial Blood Flow, will be covered if selection criteria are met. The blood flow code went into effect Jan. 1, 2018, and should be listed separately in addition to the primary procedure.
