Advocacy In Action! ASNC's 2019 Capitol Hill Fly-IN Happening Today
ASNC physicians, supported by coalition partners including AANS, MGMA, and AAOS are on Capitol Hill today discussing the Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) Program with Congress.
While ASNC remains steadfast in its support of AUC and decision support tools as a means of improving patient care, the AUC program is an overly prescriptive mandate which deprives physicians the flexibility to consult specialty-specific AUC and diverts provider resources from quality improvement. ASNC will urge Congress to reform the AUC program in a manner that supports current and future quality improvement initiatives and payment models that grant clinicians the flexibility to best achieve quality patient care.
