ASNC, ReachMD Release New Free Cardiac Amyloidosis 'Practice Essentals' CME Activity
The latest addition to ASNC's rapidly expanding cardiac amyloidosis is a new video-based CME activity that answers the all-important question, “What recent advances can we put into practice to improve outcomes for our patients with ATTR-CM?”
Developed jointly by ASNC leaders and the multi-platform educational juggernaut ReachMD, “ASNC Presents: Cardiac Amyloidosis: Practice Essentials for Diagnosis and Management” offers general cardiologists, nuclear cardiologists, heart failure specialists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists and nuclear imaging technologists—
- A concise review of the diagnosis and management of cardiac amyloidosis
- A clear description of amyloidosis, including specific types, cardiac features and disease burden
- Insights into the challenges of patient identification and early diagnosis
- Guidance for diagnostic evaluation, including differential diagnosis using Tc-99m PYP imaging
- How-to details for Tc-99m PYP imaging, including imaging protocol, semi-quantitative and quantitative scoring, interpretation and components of an appropriate report
- A preview of current and emerging treatments
Physicians who complete the pre-test, view the video and submit the post-test and evaluation will earn up to 0.5 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. The program will be available on the ReachMD platform for one year, through June 13, 2020.
