ASNC Alert: Following Netherlands Reactor Shutdown, Mo-99 Supply Issues Are Resolving

A solution for restoring function to the high flux reactor (HFR) in Petten, Netherlands, has been identified, according to the Nuclear Medicine Europe (NMEu) Emergency Response Team.
To mitigate the effects of the unplanned HFR shutdown since approximately January 24, the BR2 Belgian research reactor resumed operations earlier than expected and any remaining interruptions in Mo-99 supply are expected to be resolved by February 19.

The next update is scheduled for Monday, February 14.
