Physicians: Time is Running Out to Review Your Open Payments Data
The 2015 Open Payments data are already public, but you can still review and dispute records in the Open Payments system until December 31, 2016.
ASNC urges physicians to check their data every year—even if you don't think there are data reported on you.
Drug or device companies can submit older data from previous years. Although the data may be dated, if it is the first time it has been published, then you still have until the end of the year to review and dispute it, if necessary.ASNC urges physicians to check their data every year—even if you don't think there are data reported on you.
If you spot anything inaccurate, be sure you dispute it quickly, as this alerts companies that you disagree with their records and gives you time to resolve the dispute.
