Claim CME/CE/MOC for ASNC2023

For all ASNC2023 sessions that occurred September 29-October 1 and October 7, the deadline to claim credits is June 30, 2024.

Physicians: The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. ASNC designates this other activity (hybrid meeting) for up to 40* AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and up to 40* ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Technologists: The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of continuing education credit for technologists. ASNC’s continuing education credit is accepted by both NMTCB and ARRT. ASNC2023 has been approved for a maximum of 40* ARRT Category A Credits for the live sessions only. An evaluation, along with each session’s access code, must be submitted to claim CE credits.

Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME.

Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) recognizes attendance at CE offerings which provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for the purpose of recertification.

How do I Claim Credit (Physicians)

All attendees can claim CME/MOC and CE Credit via ASNC Education All AccessPhysicians can click either “CME/MOC Credit/Evaluation Main” or “CME/MOC Credit/Evaluation Technology”.  Attendees who only want a Certificate of Participation (COP) should go to the CME/MOC Evaluations.

COP claims: Follow directions for CME/MOC Credit/Evaluation

CME/MOC claims: There are two CME/MOC Credit/Evaluations: 1) Live/Virtual for September 29 – October 1; and 2) Technology and Techniques, October 7In each Credit/Evaluation, learners will identify all sessions attended and then complete a short post-test. Please do not identify sessions attended until you are ready to claim all CME and MOC.  

Please note that the system will not tally your credits, but a spreadsheet will be available as part of the Credit/Evaluation content if you wish to use it. Please claim CME credit and MOC points for ONLY the sessions you participated in.

The Live/Virtual Credit/Evaluation link will open on Sunday, October 1.  The Technology and Techniques Credit/Evaluation link will open on Saturday, October 7.

What if I go to claim credit, but the system won’t recognize me?

In order to claim credit/access the Education All-Access site, learners must have an account with ASNC. If you are not a member of ASNC, you must create a non-member account prior to accessing Education All-Access. Please see the screenshot below demonstrating where registrants can create a non-member account or access this one-minute video tutorial.
 

This credit activity is found on education.asnc.org. You will need to log in to the ASNC Education All-Access learning platform to access the activities from the catalog. If you are not an ASNC Member, you will need to create an account to log into the learning platform (see right). 


Learners MUST use the same email address they used during registration in order to access the Credit/Evaluations (Education All-Access). If you no longer wish to use the email address you registered with, you may ask staff in writing (info@asnc.org) to change your email address and update your account on the ASNC Education All-Access site.

How many credits are available?  Does it matter if I am attending in-person or virtually?
For in-person activities there are up to 40 CME Credits/MOC Points.  For virtual only attendees, there are up to 25 CME Credits/MOC points.

When can I start evaluating sessions and claim credit?
The Main Sessions CME/MOC/COP Credit/Evaluation opens Sunday, October 1.  The Technology Sessions CME/MOC/COP Credit/Evaluation opens Saturday, October 7.  We strongly recommend you do not claim the credits (final step) until you have participated in all sessions for that Credit/Evaluation claim because you can only claim credits once for each Claim/Evaluation. 

I completed a session feedback survey, does this mean I will collect my credits?
To collect your credits, you will need to complete the Evaluation (see above for access points – links are in the app).  We do encourage and appreciate you providing feedback at every session.  To do so, go to the app, click on the session, and click on “Session Feedback”. 

 

How do I Claim Credit (Technologists)

All attendees can claim CME/MOC and CE Credit on ASNC Education-All Access.” Technologists should click “CE Credit/Evaluation.”

Access Codes will be provided at each session in the App’s “chat” feature, and you will need to enter this code into the evaluation system.  Each Access Code will be unique to that session. An evaluation must also be completed to claim credit. CE Certificates will include reference numbers, session titles and number of credits.

The Technologist CE Credit/Evaluation link will be available on Sunday, October 1.

I am a technologist, what are these codes and what am I supposed to do?
To claim CE credit for each session you attend, you will be required to enter a unique Access Code online at https://education.asnc.org/URL/ASNC2023TechCE. It is important to record the Access Code for each session you attend. For example, if you attend 9 sessions total, you should have 9 unique Access Codes. You will not be able to claim credit without entering the Code. For in-person attendees, we recommend using the paper form available at the registration desk to record your Access Codes or taking a picture of each Access Code with your phone.

Access Codes will appear in the chat near the end of each session.  The codes will not remain there, so please document within 15 minutes of the session concluding.

Need to Claim Additional ASNC CME/CE/MOC?
  • Visit ASNC Education All-Access.
    • Click on "Credit Available" to claim credits for activities such as Nuclear Cardiology Knowledge Self-Assessment Modules (NCKSAP), JNC articles, and webinars.
  • Claim credits for the 2022 live Board Exam Prep Course.
  • For live programs, CME/CE certificates are available for a period of 90 days after the completion of each program, after this period a $45 late fee will apply.
 
ASNC has received the highest level of recognition, Accreditation with Commendation, from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Accreditation with Commendation is awarded to CME providers that demonstrate compliance in all aspects of accreditation requirements and for demonstrating exemplary engagement with the environment in support of physician learning and physician quality improvement.
