The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) will be offering a Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course from July 11-13 at the Intercontinental Hotel Chicago O'hare in Rosemont, IL.
The goal of this board review course is to prepare participants for the certification and re-certification exams in nuclear cardiology. The program will increase attendees' knowledge and competence to treat patients with the appropriate cardiac nuclear imaging procedures.
This educational event is designed for physicians preparing for the certification or re-certification exam in nuclear cardiology, as well as physicians interested in a broad review in nuclear cardiology topics.

Course objectives will enable participants to:
- Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with nuclear imaging
- Outline the rationale for stress perfusion imaging and the use of new pharmacologic tracers
- Select patients for nuclear cardiology procedures based on Appropriate Use Criteria
- Describe radiation reduction methods in nuclear cardiology, including instrumentation, software and lower radiation imaging protocols
- Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of other nuclear cardiac imaging procedures and how they can be most effectively incorporated
- Describe the role of multimodality imaging to enhance patient care
- Review and improve interpretation skills in standard and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology
