ASNC's highly regarded Future Leaders: The Next Generation of Nuclear Cardiology is now accepting applications! Designed exclusively for fellows-in-training and medical students who are considering careers in cardiac imaging, Future Leaders provides a unique opportunity for you to meet trailblazers in nuclear cardiology, connect with peers with similar interests, and take home insights that could jump-start your career as a multimodality imager.

This year's program features both virtual and in-person components.
Mark your calendars for August 13 for the virtual segment, and join us at ASNC2024 on September 4 for the in-person segment.


All accepted applicants will receive complimentary registration to ASNC2024.

The Future Leaders program will feature both virtual and in-person components

  • The Opening Session will feature the Keynote Address by Gregory S. Thomas, MD, MPH, MASNC. This session will convene virtually on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM (EDT). 

  • The in-person program and networking reception will occur at ASNC2024 in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM (CDT). 

  • Program participants are invited to connect with faculty and members of ASNC’s Board of Directors at the Future Leaders Networking Reception on Wednesday, September 4, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM (CDT).


Those attending ASNC2024 in person will receive up to two complimentary hotel room nights at ASNC2024 (over a $600 value) !

Overview

Demonstrating ASNC’s commitment to the future, the Board of Directors welcomes applications to participate in Future Leaders: The Next Generation of Nuclear Cardiology. The ASNC leadership is dedicated to inspiring and supporting trainees interested in cardiac imaging careers. This exciting program will bring together cardiology fellows interested in multimodality cardiovascular imaging with trailblazers and thought leaders in the field. Future Leaders Co-chairs Sanjay Divakaran, MD, MPH, Donna Polk, MD, MPH, MASNC, and Randall C. Thompson, MD, MASNC, will be joined by other leaders who will present perspectives based on their own illustrious careers and offer advice for forging a rewarding career.

Panel discussions and small-group breakout sessions will foster personal interaction between participants and faculty.

Program participants are invited to connect with faculty and members of ASNC’s Board of Directors at the Future Leaders Networking Reception on Wednesday, September 4, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM (CDT).


Application Requirements

  1. Be or become a Trainee Member of ASNCTrainee membership is free so join now! 

  2. Submit a brief statement (400 words or fewer) describing your cardiology fellowship status as well as your interest in and motivation for attending this symposium. Please note your Training Director in your statement.

  3. Provide a copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
     
 

Objectives

  1. Introduce trainees and cardiology fellows to established leaders in nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular imaging.

  2. Foster mentoring relationships between leaders and fellows interested in cardiovascular imaging.

  3. Explore various career paths in cardiovascular imaging.
